The day of Donald Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom has arrived, with the President of the United States set to meet with key officials and figures, such as Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth, at great expense to the British taxpayer.

With thousands of protesters expected to take to the streets in major cities such as London, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Birmingham, police forces expect this to be their biggest operation since the 2011 London riots.

Trump’s visit, as well as the protests, have divided opinions. Those taking part feel that Trump shouldn’t be allowed into the UK, given his controversial stance on issues like immigration and history of alleged sexual misconduct. Others have branded the response as embarrassing and cringeworthy.

Regardless, protests will go ahead over the next three days, following Trump everywhere that he goes during his trip, from Windsor Castle to his Scottish golf courses. Protesters will be present everywhere from London to Northern Ireland, ensuring that POTUS will feel their disdain wherever he might go.

Here are a few of the major protests taking place over the next few days. Alternatively, scroll down for a full list of planned demonstrations.
