Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has introduced new debit cards with bigger fonts and redesigned edges to better assist vision-impaired clients.
Dubbed ANZ Access, the new cards will feature larger font, tactile indicators and high visibility leading edges to help make everyday banking easier.
The new feature will assist cardholders in identifying the correct way to insert cards into ATMs and EFTPOS machines.
All new and replacement card will feature contactless technology that will allow cardholders to tap and pay wherever contactless payments are accepted.
ANZ Access cards were supported by Vision Australia, a not-for-profit organization. ANZ ran focus groups to test the effectiveness of the new card design.
ANZ operates in more than 34 markets across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Pacific, Europe, America and the Middle East including technology and operations centre in Bengaluru, India.
The bank, which offers a range of banking and financial products and services to nearly eight million customers, employs 50,000 people globally.
