Barclays and Hawaiian Airlines have partnered to launch the refreshed Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard and Business Mastercard targeting rewards-based spend.
The Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard comes with an upgraded 3-2-1 rewards structure, involving 3x HawaiianMiles on Hawaiian Airlines purchases, 2x on gas, dining and grocery transactions, and 1x on all other payments.
The card will also include previous benefits, including zero foreign transaction fees, $100 annual companion discount, and a free checked bag on the airlines flights. It also comprises all the benefits associated with World Elite Mastercard.
Barclays managing director of airline partnerships Dan Dougherty said: “Whether a frequent flyer to the Hawaiian Islands or saving for a once-in-a-lifetime trip, our cards are tailored toward rewarding cardmembers with meaningful benefits.
“By allowing cardmembers to earn miles faster as well as access companion discounts and mile sharing with friends and family, we’re un-complicating travel to Hawai’i and making dream vacations a reality.”
The new Hawaiian Airlines Business Mastercard also features the refreshed 3-2-1 rewards structure. Its additional benefits include no foreign transaction fees, options to earn bonus miles and sharing of miles.
Hawaiian Airlines president and CEO Peter Ingram said: “As Hawaii’s destination carrier, we are excited to reward our cardmembers with greater benefits that make it easier for them to visit our islands while experiencing our award-winning Hawaiian hospitality.”
