Brazil-based card operator Cielo has deployed a Zoomdata solution to generate predictive analytics in order to identify financial usage habits of its customers.
The solution will be provided by reseller partner Semantix. It will track and analyse data captured by Cielo’s point-of-sale, electronic fund transfer and e-commerce device transactions across the country.
Cielo will leverage the predictive analytics to provide real-time offers and promotions to its 1.7 million active users.
Cielo vice-president of technology and projects Alisson Jales de Oliveira said: “Through this level of business intelligence Cielo can now tailor marketing and promotions unique to each customer and merchant with near-real-time accuracy, changing the messages and offers based off of the specific needs of each customer.”
Cielo payment processing systems absorb Internet of Things (IoT) real-time device telemetry and additional transactional data through Cloudera Kudu. This data is deposited into Cloudera Impala and Cloudera SDX.
Zoomdata Impala connector and Data DVR streaming visualisations will allow Cielo to monitor device health and proactively respond to any anomalies. The company will also be able to track card usage.
Zoomdata CEO Nick Halsey said: “The payments industry is booming and is set to experience massive growth over the next five years. Zoomdata is architected to manage the challenges this volume of data creates.
“Cielo is well respected as a technology market leader throughout Latin America so we are very pleased that they have chosen Zoomdata as their platform of choice for their streaming data discovery and visualisation needs.”
