CleverCoin has added MasterCard and Visa credit and debit cards to its list of available payment options while opening its bitcoin exchange to the wider European market.
The service, which is offered in partnership with payments-as-a-service provider Lemon Way, helps facilitates transactions via credit and debit cards, will be charged at the rate of 0.3% as trading fees.
Apart from integration of VISA and MasterCard, there will be significant improvements to CleverCoin’s authentication process including an innovative possibility to receive a letter for address verification.
The new verification process will have a letter mailed to the customers’ place of residence, which must be included in a photograph and uploaded to the exchange.
Karsten Nilsen, CEO of CleverCoin, said: "After focusing solely on Dutch customers and platform security for two months, it’s now time to open up to other European customers by accepting credit cards."
