Scoot Tigerair, an indirect subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has selected Worldpay as its exclusive payments provider.
Soot and Tiger Airways Singapore have recently formed into one entity, which is dubbed as Scoot Tigerair.
The newly formed entity has partnered with Worldpay to deliver end-to-end payments solution that aims at developing international and long-haul business as a new integrated brand, mainly in Asia Pacific and EMEA markets.
Worldpay will provide expertise in managing the complexities of international eCommerce, including supporting online payments in multiple currencies, optimising the booking process, and integrating with multiple global distribution systems.
Furthermore, Worldpay will allow Scoot to accept different payment methods, including Alipay and China Union Pay in China, Konbini in Japan, and POLi Payments and PayPal in Australia.
Scoot chief commercial officer Leslie Thng said: “We see Worldpay as the ideal partner to support our aggressive growth plan, and reduce our time-to-market into each new region.
“Our new Singapore-Athens route launched earlier this month, and with plans to launch five more new destinations in the next 12 months, we need a payments solution to support our global vision.
