Visa has named Charlotte Hogg as the new executive vice president and CEO for its European operations, effective 1 October 2017.
In her new role, Hogg will report to Visa CEO Al Kelly, and Visa Europe Limited (VEL) board chairman, Gary Hoffman.
Additionally, Hogg will join the VEL board of directors and will also be a member of Visa’s global executive committee.
With over 25 years of experience in financial services, bank operations and management consulting, Hogg most recently acted as the COO for the Bank of England from 2013 to 2017.
Before that, she headed retail distribution for Santander in the UK. Earlier, she also worked with Experian as the managing director of UK and Irish business.
Prior to that, Hogg served as a managing director for strategy and planning at Morgan Stanley, and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
