Integrated payments middleware provider Datacap Systems has completed US EMV level 3 certification with Paymentech/Sterling and unveiled an EMV-capable version of NETePay.
NETePay for Sterling will enable POS providers to offer US EMV functionality via an evolving list of PIN Pads through a simple out-of-scope interface.
The EMV-capable version of NETePay can utilise Verifone’s VX 805 PIN Pad that supports EMV, MSR, PIN as well as NFC contactless transactions.
Sterling NETePay is available through the Sterling/Datacap Usage Program that will enable dealers to offer NETePay through a solution-as-a-service model.
This is expected to result in a recurring revenue stream without any requirement of upfront investment or risk for the installer.
Sterling chief sales and marketing officer Gary Staub said: "Sterling is proud to partner with Datacap to deliver a market-leading EMV solution that provides a reliable and secure payment option for merchants.
"This offering provides our reseller partners with the same attractive rental models, rapid deployment and advanced technical support that our other Datacap products have demonstrated for many years."
