MasterCard has introduced its latest premium travel credit card, MasterCard World Card, for high net worth individuals (HNWIs) in China.
The new credit card has been tailored to meet the rising trend among affluent Chinese consumers to travel more and travel well.
The World Card roll out comes as MasterCard celebrates its 50th birthday globally and 30 years in China. Through its travel credit card, the company is offering 16 new benefits in three categories like travel, rewards and experiences, and peace of mind, for the year 2016-2017.
MasterCard World Card cardholders can avail complimentary nights to room upgrades at over 1,200 hotels globally, enjoy premium hotel membership such as SPG gold from Starwood, buy-one-get-one-free business class tickets with China Eastern Airlines, avail free visa application service for 18 countries and 183 visa products and with LoungeKey, cardholders can get complimentary access to over 500 airport lounges globally.
The cardholders can get e-commerce protection insurance that helps to protect online purchases when the item is broken, does not arrive within 30 days or does not match the sellers’ description. They are also provided with wallet protection insurance, which offers protection when the wallet and items inside the wallet are stolen.
