Swedish bank Nordea has selected mobile payments company iZettle as its mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions provider in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Under the deal, Nordea will promote iZettle’s mPOS technologies to the bank’s small business customers on its website nordea.com and in its 800 branch offices throughout the Nordic region.
iZettle co-founder and CEO Jacob de Geer said, "iZettle is all about sales for small businesses – making sure no sale is ever missed, and that sales data can be used to generate even more sales.

Launched in 2011 to take card payments, iZettle has become popular among small businesses to grow their business from a complete point of sale solution, to free sales overview tools like reports and graphs to spot sales opportunities and identify loyal customers.
Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority regulates iZettle, whose services are Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) approved and meets with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Currently, iZettle’s app, Chip & PIN and Chip & Signature readers, and free business management software are available in the UK, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Mexico and Brazil.
