Uber has rolled out new Partner Fuel Card for its US driver partners in partnership with FleetCor and MasterCard.
The new card will offer Uber drivers discounts of up to 15 cents a gallon on gas purchases at US gas stations.
The Partner Fuel Card, which is part of Uber’s Momentum Driver Rewards program, will allow drivers to spend up to $200 on gas a week, which is later deducted for their driving earnings.
Also, cardholders can get an automatic 1.5% discount on fuel purchases everywhere MasterCard is accepted and additional discounts at independent gas stations across the country.
Additionally, ExxonMobil will provide cardholders at least three cents off per gallon at its 2,600 Exxon and Mobil-branded stations in Boston, Chicago, New York and Washington, DC later this summer.
At Global Partner gas stations across the Northeast, cardholders can get nine cents off per gallon.
ExxonMobil director of retail fuels marketing Jan Crowe said: "Exxon- and Mobil-branded stations not only provide outstanding fuel, they also offer convenience stores and car washes to meet every partner need.
"In addition to using the new Partner Fuel Card, Uber drivers will also be able to take advantage of numerous offers at our participating stations."
Uber VP of strategic initiatives David Righter said: "Uber and FleetCor have developed a first of its kind offering for driver-partners enabling them to gain instant savings at gas stations nationwide.
"Now, driver partners will have access to a variety of discounts applied automatically with every transaction."
