Visa has upgraded the point-of-sale (POS) terminals of certain small businesses to ensure fast, easy and optimised payments for customers in Minneapolis, US.
The new features added to the terminals include contactless technology to enable secure payments with contactless card or payment-enabled devices such as mobiles, smart watches, wristbands and stickers.
Visa also integrated its multi-sensory brand expression programme designed to facilitate implementation of sound, animation and vibration alerts for notifying completed, secure transactions while using its cards in both digital and physical retail environments.
The upgrade also included addition of EMV contactless payment technology to 700 concessions and retail POS terminals within US Bank Stadium to allow quick and secure purchases of food, beverages and various souvenirs.
Recently, Visa installed more than 550 EMV contactless POS terminals at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California in a bid to promote mobile payments and contactless technology.
