Wayne Fueling Systems, a provider of fuel dispensing, payment, automation, and control technologies for retail and commercial fuel stations, has launched its new EMV-compliant iX Pay T7 terminal for fuel retailers.
Regardless of original equipment maker, the new iX Pay T7 terminal can be used to bring legacy fuel dispensers into EMV-compliance.
To be compliant with payment network EMV requirements that reduce counterfeit fraud, the US fuel retailers are encouraged to upgrade their outdoor pay-at-the-pump equipment by October 2017.
Designed to meet the latest published security standards, the iX Pay T7 terminal also provides retailers advanced technology to allow upgrade flexibility in future.
The compact, easy-to-install unit features a large 7” Widescreen VGA display, a touchscreen user interface, media capabilities, and a secure keypad.
The terminals can also integrate with the Wayne Fusion 6000 forecourt controller connecting to the Wayne NAMOS point-of-sale (PoS) system.
Wayne Fueling Systems CEO Neil Thomas said: “We realized soon after the U.S. EMV payment security compliance standards were published, that upgrading existing original equipment to meet these standards would be challenging and costly for many retailers.
“Our goal from the beginning was to design and manufacture a solution that would make this transition simple and cost effective for customers – even those who do not utilize our dispensers. With the iX Pay T7 terminal, we have created an industry-wide solution."
