WEX has integrated with debit and credit payments processor Moneris Solutions to launch its commercial fleet card solutions in Canada.
The agreement will enable petroleum-based businesses in Canada to accept WEX fleet cards. The businesses will use Moneris’ PetroTrak point-of-sale and fleet management platform.
Fleet card capabilities drives acceptance across Canada
PetroTrak fleet management solution will allow merchants to process WEX fleet cards. Furthermore the solution allows commercial, debit and credit card transactions.
The PetroTrak application will also capture the fleet card payments in its transaction activity reports and Universal Settlement Files. This enables full optimised reconciliation.
WEX director of product management Phil Baker said: “We are excited to partner with Moneris. Now we can bring premium commercial fleet card solutions to Canada.
“We look forward to working with Moneris and its merchants to increase the number of locations where WEX fleet customers can use their cards in Canada.”
Moneris vice-president of product and client solutions Patrick Diab said: “Our payment support for WEX Fleet Cards means that petroleum-based merchants are now open to business from a leading provider of corporate payment solutions.”
Moneris annually processes more than three billion transactions for more than 350,000 merchant locations.
The latest agreement follows WEX’s collaboration with Australia-based Troovo Technologies earlier this month for robotic automation of its virtual cards generation in the Asia Pacific region.
