Austrian communications provider A1 has joined forces with payments firm Concardis to provide IT and payment services to commercial clients from one source.
A1 Payment includes payment terminals, as well as packages including NFC and a mobile wallet, debit and credit card acceptance and transaction processing for companies.
Besides, it includes SIM cards and data packages for mobile terminals.
A1 expects the new proposition to lower administrative costs and redundant workflows.
The alliance will also support the development of other sector-specific offerings and e-commerce solutions. At the same time, it will facilitate global expansion of their services.
Concardis Payment Group CEO Robert Hoffmann said: “With A1 we have gained a strong partner for continued growth in the Austrian market.
“Thanks to this partnership, our clients will now get all telecommunications and payment services from a single provider – with excellent, personalised local support.”
Installation and maintenance of the payment terminals will be managed by the A1 service team.
A1 CCO enterprise Martin Resel: “Both the IT and telecoms industry and the payment sector are now driven by new digital technologies.
“So it was a logical step for us to generate synergies, expand our product range and offer our clients even more services.”
