Brazilian card processor Conductor has partnered with electronic payment and banking solutions provider ACI Worldwide to expand its footprint into the Latin America acquirer market.
Under this partnership, Conductor will leverage ACI’s cloud-enabled solutions powered by Microsoft Azure, namely, UP Retail Payments and UP Payments Risk Management.
The UP Retail Payments solution is said to provide an advanced digital payment experience by combining the workings of current systems with the latest technologies.
The UP Payments Risk Management solution combines machine learning, fraud and payment data, and advanced analytics to combat existing and emerging fraud threats.
ACI Worldwide EVP and growth markets leader Mandy Killam said: “Innovative organisations like Conductor are turning to ACI and our cloud solutions running on Microsoft Azure to power their payment platforms.
“Our flexible and scalable offerings support fast ‘time-to-market’ and ‘digital-first’ needs, allowing Conductor to focus on growth.”
The card processing firm will deploy both the solutions in its products and services to provide added value to its final consumers.
The company has already signed-on three customers, however, its business will commence in the second half of 2020.
Conductor has served financial institutions, fintechs and merchants for over 20 years.
It has been reported that last year Brazilians transacted BRL1.84trn ($342.7bn) via credit, debit and prepaid cards, which is an 18.7% increase compared to 2018.
Conductor CEO Antonio Soares said: “We are in growth mode and partnering with ACI—a world-class payments provider with a deep understanding of both the acquirer market and the region—is part of our expansion strategy, enabling us to meet the processing needs of this market, in an agile, flexible, robust and cost-effective manner.”
