EMV migration service provider FIME has been accredited by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to offer chip validation services for RuPay payment cards.
FIME is the first to support Indian lenders with this service under the RuPay certification programme.
The accreditation will enable Indian issuers speed up their RuPay card certifications as they work towards rolling out EMV card programmes.
FIME stated that its personalisation validation test tool, PersevalPro, developed with Barnes International, will help lenders get a smooth certification process.
FIME India director Prakash Sambandam said: "We are a single point of contact for Indian issuers seeking RuPay Chip V approval. Indian banks are responding to market demands for more convenient and secure ways to pay and we are here to support them in bringing these new products and services to market in an efficient, cost-effective, and interoperable way.
"Our experienced team of EMV experts is on the ground in India, ready to help drive the migration forward."
