Ingenico ePayments, the online and mobile commerce provider, is teaming up with cross border retailer, iguama, who connects shoppers in Latin American countries with US brands, to process iguama’s payments.
The partnership will initially cover iguama’s payments in Guatemala, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Chile, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Honduras. This will gradually grow to encompass all the countries across the region and allow iguama’s customers to pay through multiple methods and currencies.
Diego Fernandez, CEO of iguama, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying "The dedication and expertise that the Ingenico ePayments team demonstrated made it clear that they are one of the market-leaders in Latin American payments, making them an ideal strategic partner to help us expand globally."
David Jimenez, CRO for Ingenico ePayments, also shared the enthusiasm, adding "We believe that iguama has a solid business model that will enable them to go far, and we are proud to be helping them achieve their goals."
Iguama is the only cross-border mall that targets the Latin American market exclusively whilst Ingenico ePayments, part of the Ingenico Group, has huge coverage throughout the area, offering innovative payment technologies and end-to-end support.
