Global gaming company Razer has launched Razer Pay e-wallet services in Malaysia in partnership with local consumer marketing firm Berjaya.
Especially designed for youth and millennials, Razer Pay enables users to recharge, transfer as well as pay money everywhere.
Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said: “Razer Pay launched globally in Kuala Lumpur and we are heartened by the incredible response from users.
“We will continue bringing more services and improvements to the app, and we thank users in Malaysia for their confidence in Razer.”
Users can add funds to their Razer Pay account through any 7-Eleven store in Malaysia or through digital banking from the account of participating banks including AmBank, Bank Islam, CIMB, Hong Leong Bank, Maybank, Public Bank as well as RHB Bank.
Through the e-wallet, users can send funds to their family and friends as well as transfer money to their bank account.
Further, Razer Pay can be used to pay for online and offline transactions. More than 6,000 major retail and F&B outlets accept Razer Pay.
The e-wallet can also be used to recharge prepaid connections of participating mobile companies including uMobile, Digi, Maxis and Celcom. Users can download the app from iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
More than 300,000 users in Malaysia have signed up for the new e-wallet within 48 hours of its launch, the company said.
