Sabre, a technology provider for the travel industry, has collaborated with virtual payment technology partner Conferma to introduce virtual pre-funded card technology for corporate travel payments in Mexico.
Dubbed as Sabre Virtual Payments, the new technology offers a touchless travel payment service built on secure payment card technology.
The technology has been designed to support the complexities within corporate travel programs and expense reporting. It will help enhance travel policy compliance, reconcile processes, and reporting capabilities, as well as facilitate better data integration.
Sabre Virtual Payments includes a streamlined, automated solution that assigns a unique virtual pre-funded card number to each travel group, thereby improving productivity and fraud protection for agencies and corporations.
The technology also includes a prefunded credit option, which helps corporations to control the exact amount of a travel purchase.
Sabre Mexico general director Salim Arkuch said: "The effective management of a corporate travel program is becoming increasingly complex and virtual payment services are a huge opportunity to deliver buyers an efficient workflow with automated processes and better data integration.
"Sabre Virtual Payments is a form of payment that allows agencies, TMCs and corporations to deploy virtual prepaid card numbers, securely created at the time they shop and book for business trips."
