Wirecard Indonesia PT Prima Vista Solusi, a subsidiary of Wirecard, has introduced a new point-of-sales (POS) payment gateway that will allow retailers to process card transactions through multi-acquirers in Indonesia.
The new offering will include multi-brand POS software that will support payment by Visa, MasterCard and National Debit cards.
Wirecard said it will also offer NFC wallets and bill payments, a POS gateway hosted in the company’s PCI-DSS certified Data Centers with switching, terminal management, transaction monitoring and merchant reporting capabilities.
Initially the product will support the Indonesian local banks and retailers, and then extend its support to acquirers and retailers globally.
With this solution, retailers will be able to receive real-time detailed report of their POS transactions that capture multiple card schemes and multiple acquirers for ease of reconciliation.
Wirecard managing director of Indonesia Widhayati Darmawan said: "The first phase of launch for Wirecard Point-of-Sales Payment Gateway will support one of the largest chains of convenient stores, Alfamart, and other nationwide retailers starting with 25,000 POS terminals implemented starting in December 2016.
“Our infrastructure is already integrated to three major national acquiring banks as our anchor partners. More retailers and participating acquirers will be added in the coming years."
Wirecard executive vice president of global point-of-sales solution Rudy Khowara said: "Wirecard Point-of-Sales Payment Gateway System employs state of the art security and sophistication. Upon successful launch in Indonesia, the platform will be extended to support retailers around the world through cooperation with major acquiring banks in each country."
