Payments firm SpotOn Transact has teamed up with smart POS terminal manufacturer Poynt to launch a payment and marketing solution for SMBs.
The Smart Terminal of Poynt forms part of a connected commerce platform for merchants.
The integration with SpotOn’s omnichannel platform will enable businesses to manage a range of functions.
These include business analytics, appointment scheduling, web design, POS software as well as marketing initiatives.
Leveraging the technology, businesses can also manage customer reviews and loyalty programmes.
Through the alliance, loyalty, marketing and POS software is directly integrated into the terminal hardware.
As a result, side-by-side platforms and multiple devices are not required.
Commenting on the tie-up, SpotOn president RJ Horsley said: “We are excited to offer a combined hardware and software solution which both reduces the merchant’s physical and environmental footprint while integrating credit card processing with customer engagement software.
“These tools are critical to a business owner because they enable all types of secure payment acceptance, drive consumer engagement and make it easier to run their business—all at an affordable price.”
Businesses processing credit cards with SpotOn can avail the new terminal at a cost of $15.
Currently, over 3,500 devices have been installed in restaurants, retailers as well as salons.
