Working within Retail/Consumer Finance Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director – the Head of Sales will lead and motivate a team of direct reports
The team will deliver against aggressive targets and successfully recruit new Merchants in chosen strategic areas and geographic territories.
The Head of Sales will provide the Sales team with direction, coaching, performance management and take responsibility for the UK business targets. Territories are to be defined and will be decided on many factors including home location, opportunity and existing client structure.
Origination, sales development and closure:
Working closely with prospective new dealers to deliver new sales and revenue growth from new business wins. I.e. Generating, fostering and developing relationships with major / strategic key account prospects in order to achieve the Company’s sales targets by selling client products to consumers through dealers, with specific emphasis on both £’s Credit Volume and margin after commissions
Create and lead business proposals and negotiations, establish the client’s capability to meet both consumer and client needs. Develop and report solutions to specific client requirements
Business strategy and sales planning:
Working closely with the Sales and Marketing Director to develop the new business sales strategy to hit the growth targets.
To assume responsibility for the implementation of the Sales strategy process, whilst having awareness for the company capability.
Ensure high quality and regular reporting on new business activity and sales pipelines using Salesforce and Prospect lists.
Ensure the new business sales team is held to account and properly performance manage
You may come from Motor, Retail or Asset Finance and have:
- Outstanding track record in business development gained within B2B2C blue chip lending business.
- Experience in negotiating complex deals & presenting at Board level
- Experience of consultative selling
- Proven ability to identify and exploit new opportunities
- Familiar with FCA Framework
- Effective leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Target and results driven
