UK-based Cura Financial Services have launched a Game of Gnomes campaign as a fun way to get people thinking about their protection insurance needs.
It’s an obvious nod to the famous HBO series Game of Thrones which reached its exciting season 7 finale last night.
Cura invites clients to visit a special web page to answer a few questions about their lifestyles and find out which gnome character they are most like – for example “The Snowman”.
And the website suggests what type of protection insurance might be relevant for that character – for example, income protection.
Cura are well known for their quirky marketing campaigns. Game of Gnomes follows on from their earlier Zombie campaign and Christmas Advent Calendar.
Kathryn Knowles, in charge of marketing at Cura, said, “Protection is a dull subject for clients. We need to find interesting ways to get people talking about it. I believe linking protection to popular culture is a terrific way to broach the subject. Everyone’s talking about Game of Thrones now and our Game of Gnomes campaign is a fun way to get people to think about a serious subject.”
