British Car Auctions (BCA) has acquired technology company Tradeouts and automotive imagery company Autos on Show as part of what it describes as a strategy to broaden its customer proposition.
Autos On Show already powered BCA’s video appraisal service, and has developed a portfolio of products and services for OEMs, major dealer groups and remarketing companies.
The company was established in 2012 by Adam and Rachel Price, and will continue to support and grow its existing customer base.
BCA chief executive officer Jon Olsen said " Autos On Show is a natural fit within BCA’s broad suite of remarketing services and gives us scope to further enhance the range of digital services we offer our customer base."
Tradeouts runs Tradeouts.com, a dealer to dealer online application that enables customers to customers to buy and sell used vehicles.
It was founded in 2012 by David Brown in Daventry, and is currently used by over 4,500 car dealers.
Commenting on the purchase, Brown said "I’m excited to be part of BCA Group. There are many opportunities to develop the synergies between our businesses, across our customer bases and our innovation expertise."
