Fleet company Tusker has signed a
deal with North Yorkshire County Council to provide a salary
sacrifice scheme, which will be open initially to 30,000
The scheme will run for four years, Tusker said,
and will form part of the council’s flexible benefits package.
Tusker beat 14 other leasing company competitors to win the tender,
the council said.
Vehicles with emissions of 120g/km of CO2 and below
are available through the scheme, “in line with the council’s
environmental policy,” Tusker said. It is expected that 500 car

Large LCV deal
Lombard Vehicle Management (LVM) has
been selected by national lawn treatment business GreenThumb to
fund and supply a fleet of 800 vans on exclusive basis.
Around 230 vehicles are to be delivered this year
and run on contract hire, mainly over three years and 45,000 miles.
The new vans, VW Caddy Maxi 1.9 TDIs, are expected to reduce fuel

Leasedrive Velo has announced two fleet
deals – one an extension to an existing contract, with technology
and outsourcing company Capgemini, and one a contract with a new
client, accountancy firm BDO UK.
The Capgemini extension, for two years, covers 800
current and 3,500 eligible company car drivers in a salary
sacrifice scheme, and Leasedrive Velo recently added another eight
manufacturers to employee choice lists.
The BDO award win means that Leasedrive Velo will
provide contract hire for around 200 of the firm’s partners in the
UK, with no restrictions on vehicle choice.
Pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline
has awarded the management of its employee car ownership (ECO)
scheme to fleet management and leasing company Zenith Provecta.
Employees can access the bespoke scheme website via
the corporate intranet, and use it to obtain quotes, place orders,
and submit mileage returns.
