Malcolm Earp has been appointed main board director at apd
the automotive management and research company. Previously he was a
director of Mitac and, latterly, of RL Polk. He is tasked with
building on new contracts won by the company in mainland Europe,
the Far East and Australia.
Vertu Motors has announced
the appointment of Audrey Parry as operations
manager at the company’s Motor Nation used car supermarket.
Previously Parry was general manager of Vardy vehicle Re-marketing
and latterly dealer principal of Pendragon Vehicle Solutions. She
will report to Michael Breen, Motor Nation
FIAT GROUP AUTOMOBILES UK
Andrew Humberstone has been appointed managing director of
Fiat Group Automobiles UK from November 1. His most recent role was
chief representative for Fiat Group Automobiles China and vice
chairman of Nanjing Fiat. Prior to that he worked in various
capacities in India, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and

returning to Italy where he will take over responsibility for Fiat
brand worldwide dealer network development, fleet and used car
Neil Moscrop has been appointed as Peugeot UK’s sales
director after David Brookman retired at the end
of October. Previously Moscrop held a variety of roles in the
company including national fleet manager and, most recently,
director of parts and service. He was also retail general manager
and then operations manager for Peugeot’s own retail division,
Robins & Day, and a regional director for Peugeot in Scotland
and the Central region.
Avis has appointed Jason van Zuydam as corporate
social responsibility manager EAMEA. He previously held the
position of quality and environmental advisor UK for a large
multi-national managed-services company.
Fleet Alliance has
appointed former general manager David Blackmore
as commercial director with responsibility for the company’s
affinity partners business and new project development. Blackmore
joined Fleet Alliance from AutoContracts some five years ago.
Alex Fovargue has joined Experian’s Integrated
Marketing division as client director. He spent the last 15 years
managing and consulting on customer loyalty and marketing
programmes for Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Metro Group and Co-op
Paul Everitt has been appointed chief executive of the
Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) with effect from
2 January 2008, succeeding Christopher
Everitt is currently director of Civil Air Transport and
Communications at the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC)
where he has specific responsibility for environmental and safety
issues as well as leading its media team and government relations
Prior to his role at the SBAC, Everitt was head of Communications,
Economics and Policy at the SMMT, where he played a major part in
developing and launching the motor industry sustainability report
and the annual CO2 report.
GE FLEET SERVICES
GE Fleet Services has
appointed Simon Leitch as new corporate business
development manager. Leitch, who has some 18 years of experience in
new business development, spent the last nine years at Lloyds TSB
autolease where he was twice awarded New Business Sales Person of
Nicola Delaney has been appointed business strategy
executive at cfc solutions. She previously worked at ATS Euromaster
and progressed through roles in the customer services, quality and
DaimlerChrysler AG, parent of DaimlerChrysler companies in the UK,
is to be re-named Daimler AG. In April 2008 DaimlerChrysler
Financial Services UK will become Mercedes-Benz Financial Services
UK Ltd (MBFSUK).
Wilfried Steffen is to continue as president and
CEO of the re-named Mercedes-Benz UK and Bob
Middleton as managing director of MBFSUK.
Peter Lambert, currently managing director of
Chrysler Group activities within DaimlerChrysler UK stepped down
from his role as of 1 November and was succeeded by Simon
Elliott will serve as an interim managing director of the new
Chrysler UK Ltd, which he will combine with his current
international responsibilities with Chrysler LLC.
