Alexandra Altinger, CEO, Sandaire Investment Office
Alexandra began her career as a proprietary trader on the arbitrage desk with BNP Securities in Tokyo. She went on to join Goldman Sachs in New York, then London, before leaving in order to gain experience as a financial analyst and later portfolio manager for Japanese and other Asian equities. In 2001 she joined Wellington Management where she remained for 11 years within the client relationship management team, eventually becoming the head of European sub-advisory and third-party fund distribution. Prior to joining Sandaire in 2014, she worked within the executive team of Lansdowne Partners, helping to lead the firm’s repositioning efforts for their long-only products in global institutional markets. Alexandra graduated from Université de Paris Dauphine with an BA in Economics and an MA in International Finance with Honours. She is a CFA Charterholder, a member of CFA UK’s Advisory Council as well as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Diversity Project, a newly launched initiative across the UK financial services industry to promote diversity in every form across investment managers and asset owners.
Hugo Borges, Regional Market Head Africa & Europe, Private Bank, Standard Chartered Bank
Hugo joined Standard Chartered Bank in September 2015 as Africa Market Head in the Private Bank. Prior to SCB, he was an external consultant to Zenith Bank, where he worked as part of the UK Exco to redesign and develop their wealth management operating model & platform. Prior to Zenith, Hugo was based in Geneva and held the position of Africa Deputy Market Manager for Julius Baer. He developed and implemented a holistic, client-centric value proposition for HNW and UHNW African client wealth management. Hugo spent 12 years with Barclays Bank. Based in London, he was responsible for executing Barclays Wealth’s “One Africa” strategy leveraging Barclays footprint across the African continent while executing on a holistic value proposition for UHNW & HNW clients. Hugo holds a degree in Economics and International Relations, and completed the Executive Management Programme at Columbia University, New York.
Dena Brumpton, CEO, Wealth & Investments, Barclays
Dena joined Barclays in 2015 from Citigroup where she held a range of senior roles over the last 30 years within corporate, investment and private banking, managing strategy, sales, marketing, digital, business and operational management. Starting her career in Citi Asset Management, she worked in offshore operations, before taking on a role as a Corporate Finance Transactor based in London and New York. Dena went on to hold roles as Global Markets Chief Administrative Officer, Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff for Corporate and Investment Bank, before most recently acting as Global Chief Operating Officer for Citi Private Bank.
Mouhammed Choukeir, Chief Investment Officer, Kleinwort Hambros
Mouhammed is Chief Investment Officer for Kleinwort Hambros heading up the investment management unit at the firm. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment proposition, leading a team of experienced investment strategists and portfolio managers. He also co-chairs the Global Investment Committee for Societe Generale and is a member of Kleinwort Hambros Executive Committee. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and events, and a regular contributor to the media. In the past few years, the investment team has secured a number of industry awards and accolades for excellence and investment performance including Investment Team of the Year.
Jonathan Davis, Managing Director, Avaloq UK
Jonathan Davis is the Managing Director of Avaloq UK where he is responsible for setting the company’s strategy and driving a major effort to establish it as a key player in the BPO and SaaS markets for wealth managers, retail banks and non-traditional lenders. He has extensive experience across financial markets, technology and outsourcing. He is an experienced board member, client-facing business leader and non-executive director who started his career at Andersen Consulting, where he became an equity partner in 2000. He worked in the Capital Markets division at Andersen/Accenture for 22 years in various roles, including leading the firm’s US and Japanese capital markets business. Prior to his role at Avaloq, Jonathan was the managing director of FIS’s EMEA business, which had revenues of $450m and which delivered a broad range of services and products, including banking and fraud software and outsourcing, credit and debit card processing and securities processing. He also spent three years as a partner at Capco, where he ran the firm’s capital markets business and played a leading role in trebling the size of the business. His outside interests include a role as a trustee of Spinal Track, which is a charity focused on helping spinally injured people to develop driving skills.
Francisco Fernandez, Founder & CEO, Avaloq
Francisco Fernandez is an entrepreneur who has committed himself to IT solutions in the finance sector. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich as well as post degree studies in business administration from the Centre for Industrial Management (BWI) of the ETH. Francisco is the principal shareholder of the Avaloq group. His goal is to shape and transform the financial system as well as to increase its stability by making financial institutions more secure, more compliant, more efficient and more transparent. Beyond that he aims at redesigning the dialogue and interaction between financial institutions and their clients. He is a sought-after thought leader and speaker in the areas of digital transformation, innovation management, leadership and entrepreneurship around the globe.
James Fleming, Vice Chairman, Arbuthnot Latham & Co
James Fleming is Vice Chairman of Arbuthnot Latham and joined the Board of Directors in March 2012 as Chief Executive. Prior to joining Arbuthnot Latham, James held various executive positions at Coutts & Co including Head of International Private Banking and Managing Director of the UK Entrepreneurs, Landowners and Inpatriates businesses. Previously James was also Managing Director of SG Hambros UK.
Bartosz Golba, Head of Wealth Management, GlobalData
Bartosz Golba leads GlobalData’s Wealth Management team, providing market intelligence and business information to a number of world’s leading FS organisations. A former private banker himself, Bartosz is committed to understanding how wealth managers’ clients react to the industry’s changing environment. Digital wealth management (the rise of robo advisors, above all) and asset allocation trends are his key interests.
René Hürlimann, Head of Sales, EMEA, Appway
As Head of Sales EMEA, René Hürlimann directs Appway’s expansion strategy by forging worldwide sales channels with partners. With an extensive background in international business, Hürlimann employs his industry expertise throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia, helping to build relationships with clients and partners around the world. He holds a degree in Commercial IT and an MBA in International Management.
Paul Kearney, Managing Director, Kleinwort Hambros
Paul Kearney is Head of Private Banking in the UK for Kleinwort Hambros, part of the Societe Generale group, responsible for the domestic and international private banking in the UK. Prior to the merger of Kleinwort Benson and SGPB Hambros, he was the Head of Private Banking at Kleinwort Benson (‘KB’), having joined in 2011. Paul’s career has involved senior leadership positions in international investment banking and asset management organisations. Immediately prior to joining KB, he established and ran a successful family office. Paul holds a degree in economics and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Simon Kingsnorth, Global Head of Digital Marketing, Citi Private Bank
Simon Kingsnorth is Global Head of Digital Marketing for Citi Private Bank where he leads the experience and marketing activities across all digital channels. He is also the author of the book Digital Marketing Strategy which is used by many universities and institutes worldwide. Simon has nearly 20 years experience of developing and leading digital and marketing departments including senior leadership team roles at FTSE 100 businesses, global brands and start-ups.
Nick Middleton, Co-Head, UBS SmartWealth
Nick is Finance professional with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of affluent private clients. He is one of two co-heads of UBS SmartWealth and uses his wide-ranging expertise to implement investment solutions that help clients meet their goals. Joining UBS in 2009 Nick initially focused managing private client relationships through the provision of discretionary and advisory investment advice. In 2011 he took on the leadership of the Affluent desk which was set up to manage the accounts for all UBS clients with invested assets of less than £1m. Nick then joined the SmartWealth team in April 2016.
Meghna Mukerjee, Editor, Private Banker International
Meghna Mukerjee is the Editor of Private Banker International. She was previously the Asia analyst for Timetric for the private banking sector, based out of Singapore. She has previously been the senior reporter for Retail Banker International in London and has also worked on reports and research papers across the cards and payments space. Prior to this, Meghna was a reporter at a leading newspaper Hindustan Times. Meghna regularly blogs for the New Statesman and also has published work in The Telegraph.
Richard Parkin, Head of Pensions Policy, Fidelity International

Ali Sadr, Chairman, Pilatus Bank
Mr. Ali Sadr is the Chairman of Pilatus Bank plc. With an entrepreneurial spirit as his guide and more than a decade’s worth of experience across the financial services sector, Mr. Sadr has made transformational strides and advancements in the banking industry. Claudio de Sanctis, Head of Europe, Credit Suisse
Claudio de Sanctis is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and Head of Private Banking in Europe, based in Zurich. Claudio joined Credit Suisse in 2013 as Head of Private Banking in Southeast Asia in Singapore. Most recently he led Northern and Eastern Europe within the Private Banking & Wealth Management division. Before joining Credit Suisse, Claudio spent eight years at UBS and in his last role was Managing Director and Market Head of Iberia and Nordics at UBS Wealth Management Europe. Prior to that, he was based in London for ten years with the wealth management divisions of Barclays and Merrill Lynch. Claudio holds a Cum Laude degree in Philosophy from the University of Rome.
John Saunders, Managing Director of US and Europe, Coutts International
John Saunders, Managing Director, Eastern and Western Europe, American and Resident Non-Domiciled (RND) clients. John joined Coutts in February 2015. Prior to joining, he spent five years at Barclays Wealth where he successfully built and ran specialist teams of High Net Worth bankers focused on RND, charity, financial and city professionals and Court of Protection clients. John has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, formerly as in-house Counsel for UBS Warburg and Head of Legal at UBS Wealth Management (UK), latterly as Chief of Staff for UBS Wealth Management (UK) and Deputy Head of UBS’s UK Wealth Management business. John holds a law degree from Queens’ College, Cambridge and qualified and practiced as a solicitor with a leading City law firm.
Thomas Schär, Digital Innovations Lead, Appway

Sándor Szabó, Key Account manager, Dorsum
Sándor Szabó is a Key Account manager at Dorsum, responsible for the company’s sales efforts and contacts, especially in Hungary, the CEE and the WE region. He spent more, than 19 years in the banking industry, fulfilling different positions in treasury, corporate and investor relations domains not only in Hungary, but in Belgium also. Sándor was heading the private banking directorate of K&H Bank, a leading player of the Hungarian financial sector for 7,5 years. Leveraging his broad experience and professional network in the banking industry he focuses on wealth-management related sales activities mainly.
Edward Thomas, New Business Manager, Oxfam
Edward is a fundraiser in Oxfam’s Philanthropy & Partnerships department, where his role is to engage new partners from trusts & foundations to support Oxfam’s work in over 90 countries. He joined Oxfam in 2016 from a leading animal welfare charity; prior to this he worked with Voluntary Services Overseas developing a micro-finance project in Kenya. Edward also spent a decade working in financial services latterly in the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Commercial Banking division.
Andrew Reid Thomas, Head of Sales, InvestCloud
Andrew Reid Thomas is Head of Sales at InvestCloud, a digital platform that empowers wealth managers and investors and supports more than $1.6 trillion of assets for over 660 clients across the globe. With 15 years’ experience in financial technology, he joined the company in 2016, when InvestCloud launched its European headquarters. Andrew focuses on building InvestCloud’s European client base as part of its global expansion plans, showcasing its innovative approach to digital client communication, management and warehousing to wealth managers, family offices, institutions and financial platforms. Andrew has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University.
