Changes and Cancellation

We reserve the right to change event details if necessary, although we will endeavor to keep all changes to a minimum. We will inform you as soon as possible of important changes, for example name or date changes. Substitutions may be made in writing at any time and will incur no penalty fee. Cancellations without a substitute delegate received a month prior to the event will be subject to a 20% cancellation charge. Delegates canceling after this date without a substitute delegate will be required to pay the full fee and no refund will be made. Cancellations must be received in writing or via email and will not be accepted over the phone.

Force Majeure.

We reserve the right to cancel the event by reason of Force Majeure, included but not limited to fire, flood, extreme weather conditions, acts of war or violence, malicious damage, explosion, earthquake, strike, civil disturbances, political unrest, riot, labour dispute, power cuts or any other extraneous variable beyond FNP’s control.

Thorsten is a managing director, currently running the departments of institutional and corporate distribution for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland within Equity Markets & Commodities. From 2011-2016 Thorsten previously headed the Asian equity markets and commodities operations for Commerzbank in Hong Kong. He worked with a focused team of professionals to further strengthen the market making of financial products, manufacturing investment products and offering solutions for the asset and liability management of clients. In total, Thorsten worked more than twenty years at Commerzbank in the equity derivatives and commodities space in Europe and Asia: trading, distributing, leading and growing sustainable businesses within volatile, challenging markets, through multiple market cycles by managing intercultural teams and multi asset risks.

Ronan McCaughey, Editor, Private Banker International

Ronan McCaughey is editor of Private Banker International and Life Insurance International at Verdict.  Having served his apprenticeship working as a reporter on a weekly newspaper in the West of England, Ronan is an award-winning journalist with over 10 years’ experience in financial journalism, which has taken him around the world. He has specialised in subject areas from retail investment and pensions, to retail banking and insurance. Ronan is particularly enjoying covering the global private banking and wealth management market – and further growing Private Banker International.

Guerson Meyer, European Sales Director, Hearsay Systems

Guerson is the European Sales Director for Hearsay Systems and helps wealth firms and private banks to modernise their sales organisation into the digital age. Previous to Hearsay, Guerson was Head of Global Marketing Procurement for Allianz in Munich. During 2011 and 2014, Guerson co-founded an online food startup in Germany that raised 1M euros in venture capital. He was born and raised in Mexico City and has lived in Germany for 17 years. Since 2018 he has lived in Madrid with his wife and 3 children.

 

Riccardo Pianeti, Portfolio Engineer (Vice President), Citi Private Bank

Riccardo Pianeti is a Portfolio Engineer (Vice President) at Citi Private Bank. Based in Geneva, he is responsible for providing innovative Quantitative Portfolio Solutions to platinum EMEA private clients. His team is one of the key stakeholders in the company endeavor to embrace Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to augment Citi Private Bank client experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Econometrics from the University of Bergamo, Italy and held a visiting position at Cass Business School, London, UK. He is willing to take part in the conference to bring his expertise and share views on the use of AI within Wealth Management.

Christof Roßbroich, Head of Sales Germany, Avaloq

After a commercial apprenticeship and two years abroad in Spain, Christof Roßbroich studied business economics.  He began his career in the financial sector as key account manager at a software producer for payment transaction software in 1999. In 2007 Mr. Roßbroich joined XCOM AG (today named FintechGroup AG) as Head of Sales and Marketing and built up the sales and marketing department. He was previously Chief Representative and Member of Management since November 2013. During this time, he was responsible for projects in the private and retail banking sector. In 2017, he decided to take on another new challenge and joined the sales team of Avaloq as Head of Sales Germany.

Daniel Salinger, Country Manager Germany, Orbium

Daniel heads Orbium’s German business unit and is responsible for expanding our business in the region. He works closely with top-tier clients on their system implementation, consulting and IT projects. He also manages growth within Orbium and at our three German subsidiaries in Frankfurt, Berlin and Düsseldorf helping to diversify the business. Daniel has more than 15 years experience in risk control, regulatory compliance, IT and financial advisory work. Here he has often seen highly fragmented IT-landscapes with redundant data for accounting, risk controlling, legal reporting or front office requiring sophisticated data management to ensure data integrity. His experience in the financial sector, including corporate, private and commercial banks in Germany and Luxembourg, has provided him with a deep understanding of the market and the constantly changing regulatory requirements.

Stephan Simmang, CTO, Fintech Group Bank

Stephan Simmang’s previous employers include Goldman Sachs, where, over the course of nearly 20 years, he held a number of positions and was responsible, among other things, for their IT infrastructure in continental Europe, and also worked with a global team to define international IT standards. Simmang studied at RWTH Aachen University, where he took a Master’s in Electrical Engineering.

 

David Stubbs, Head of Client Investment Strategy for EMEA, J.P. Morgan

Dr. David Stubbs, Executive Director, is the Head of Client Investment Strategy for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Based in the London office, he is responsible for delivering research-driven insights on the global economy and markets to ultra-high net worth clients. He is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN and other major market outlets. David was most recently a member of Asset Management’s Market Insights team, where he was responsible for formulating and communicating the business’s market views to institutional investors and financial advisors across the region and around the world. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, David worked at MRB Partners in New York, where he was a senior macro strategist as well as Roubini Global Economics and Heitman Securities in London. Martin Weibeler, Vice President, Senior Product Manager Primegate, Commerzbank

Martin is responsible for the product and project management of the multi-issuer platform for structured products, Primegate, within Equity Markets & Commodities. He heads up the Primegate project as product owner and forcing developments in an agile way. Martin has worked with Commerbank for 12 years and had different roles within sales. He was a sales representative for EU regulation EMIR and product manager for digitisation initiatives within corporate banking.

Nominees should follow these simple guidelines to ensure their submission has the best chance of winning.

Submission Rules

  1. Submissions can be made either on behalf of your own company or in recognition of a colleague or partner firm.
  2. Maximum of 1,000 words in Word format, no appendices.
  3. Entry must address the award category explicitly, not generic links to web sites, corporate marketing etc.
  4. Submissions should highlight the key differentiator and competitive nature of the project or implementation.
  5. It is made explicit the Entrant, Judges and the publication will treat any and all information in strict confidence and any quotes or information to go into the public domain will be pre-cleared by the Entrant.

This award recognises the stand-out legal services firm which is contributing to the growth and development of the private banking and wealth management sector in Germany

Stand out legal service providers in this category are leading debate and challenging the status quo, as well as offering a top class service and experience for their clients.

The judges will consider the following points:
