Global expat network Angloinfo and digital media expert Nexus have formed a new joint venture (JV), known as Angloinfo Asia, to serve the expat population.
The debut product to be launched by the new JV includes Angloinfo.com/hongkong. The site is expected to start operations in August 2016.
The JV also plans to launch further local editions of Angloinfo across Asia and in China to meet the needs of expats in these markets.
Both Angloinfo and Nexus will make equal investment into the Asia business that will initially form a team in Hong Kong in content, ad sales and marketing.
The team is expected to grow in size and geographic scope as the business expands across Asia.
Angloinfo COO James Jackson said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Nexus. Their team have an unparalleled knowledge of Asia both from a media and from an expat point of view.
“By combining that expertise and knowledge base with Angloinfo's own experience and know how we have created an exceptional company uniquely qualified to roll out the Angloinfo product offerings in Asia.”
Nexus managing director Tak Man added: “Angloinfo Hong Kong is a great place to begin. But we will build on that with further new sites in other parts of Asia and, in time, developing the Angloinfo brand to offer events and other customised marketing solutions.”
