UK-based Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (BMAM) has entered into a strategic alliance with Berkshire-based IFA Petrus Financial Services.
Under the alliance, Brooks Macdonald will offer Petrus clients access to two investment propositions including the bespoke portfolio service and the managed portfolio service.
The Bespoke Portfolio Service is developed for private clients those who are looking for an individual investment portfolio to reflect their investment objectives, tax status, attitude to risk and other personal circumstances.
The managed service will offer Petrus clients access to a range of five actively managed, risk-rated, diversified portfolios which invest in unit trusts, OEICs, investment trusts, exchange traded funds, structured products and cash to spread risk.
Additionally, Brooks Macdonald will manage both of these services on a discretionary basis with Petrus deciding on the suitability of the portfolios.
The BPS portfolios will be managed by Brooks Macdonald’s Hampshire office, headed by regional director John Wallace, while the MPS portfolios will managed by BMAM’s MPS team based in London.
Philip Dendy, managing director of Petrus, said: "Forming a strategic alliance with BMAM has most definitely helped to facilitate this aim and represents a significant part of our growth strategy."
Andrew Shepherd, joint managing director at BMAM said: "The investment management services that we are providing are designed to cover a wide range of investment objectives and risk profiles. Petrus have a thorough financial advisory process that feeds into our robust investment process and provides clients with a first rate wealth management solution."
