Fieldpoint Private, a Connecticut-based wealth advisory and private banking firm, has forayed into the Florida market by opening a new office in Palm Beach.
The firm, which also has offices in Greenwich and New York, caters to over 600 families and entrepreneurs across the US, Latin America and Europe.
Fieldpoint president and CEO Bob Matthews said: "Fieldpoint Private was founded on the notion that size is the enemy of excellence — that you can deliver intellectual firepower that will compare favorably to the largest firms the world, and you need not compromise objectivity and exceptional personal service in order to ensure it.
"From the beginning, this idea resonated with a substantial clientele — many of whom choose to reside in Florida."
Moreover, the firm has appointed Joseph McCool as a managing director and senior advisor for its new office.
McCool, who has an experience of about three decades in wealth advisory, most recently served at with Capital Group Private Client Services. He spent 13 years at Capital as a senior vice president and investment counselor, responsible for advising families and business owners on about $450m in investments.
He previously served for a decade as a principal at Sanford Bernstein, and in corporate finance with Smith Barney.
"Joseph McCool's presence in Palm Beach gives us an ideal professional to help reach even more families and entrepreneurs who will appreciate what makes Fieldpoint special," Matthews stated.
Set up in 2008, Fieldpoint Private offers wealth management and strategy, family office, private banking and business banking services to ultra-high net worth families and institutions.
