Former Barclays and JP Morgan executive Tom Kalaris has opened a new private client advisory firm in London that will deliver bespoke wealth management services to ultra-high net worth clients.
Dubbed Saranac Partners, the new firm will offer investment management, financing, fiduciary as well as corporate finance services by utilising high intellectual capital and advanced technologies.
The firm has already forged partnerships with Aberdeen Asset Management and Australian software company Iress.
Iress will offer an integrated platform to support the firms’s client base, which include helping client on-boarding, client reporting and customer relationship management (CRM), through to portfolio management and integrated trading functionality.
The platform will consist of a single front office desktop solution for client and investment management as well as a digital client portal to allow clients’ online access.
Saranac Partners head of operations and technology Andrew Catterall said: “Our aim at Saranac Partners is to utilise technology to its best effect to support the wealth management needs of each of our clients. IRESS’ consultative approach and its ability to provide a complete technology solution for the business have played a crucial role in the early development of Saranac.
“Moreover, the experience of the IRESS team has instilled confidence in us that they will continue to respond to our changing needs by delivering scalable and leading edge technology as Saranac continues to grow, supporting our broader business strategy.”
The new venture will be staffed by former head of Cayenne Asset Management Len Gayler; former Barclays managing directors Michelle Witter, Andrew Catterall and Tanvi Davda; Lombard Odier’s Philip Dench, and Woodford Investment Management’s Gray Smith.
