Misys, a UK-based developer of software solutions for financial services institutions, has opened a new office in Texas, US as part of its growth strategy.
The firm has tripled its staff base in the region since acquiring Custom Credit Systems (CCS) in 2014. Additionally, the firm has relocated from Richardson to larger premises in Plano, joining JP Morgan Chase and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Misys said that the Plano office is one of the firm’s strategic global development centers and will house the Misys center of excellence for its commercial lending solutions.
Misys CEO Nadeem Syed said: “Plano has seen an influx of big business names in recent years and offers a wealth of talent, so it is a natural base for us.
“The need to move to a new office to accommodate our growing workforce really highlights the pace at which we are expanding our business and cements our position as a leading and innovative financial software provider. Investing in our new Texas base demonstrates our commitment to the region and our lending market solutions.”
The office will form part of the company’s North American operations alongside offices in New York, it added.
