Chinese fintech platform PINTEC has launched a new robo-advisory platform to offer investment advice to Chinese investors.
Dubbed XUANJI, the new platform includes an offshore USD asset version, and an onshore RMB asset version that have been designed to offer tailored investment advice directly to individual investors.
The offshore version will support trading of ETFs on the US stock markets, while the onshore version will help investors gain access to Chinese mutual funds through PINTEC’s distribution license.
XUANJI also comes in a white-labeled B2B version that can be customised to serve independent financial advisors, wealth management platforms, and financial institutions.
XUANJI's asset allocation solution uses the framework of Markowitz's Modern Portfolio Theory, and integrates quantitative modeling and machine learning with programmed trading, PINTEC said.
PINTEC Group CEO Allen Dong said: "PINTEC hopes to become the engine that drives China finance into the future, leveraging technology to advance financial services and leveling the playing field.”
