Robertson Stephens Wealth Management, a US-based investment advisory business, has launched an office in Austin, Texas, which will serve as its first Southwestern office.
The office will be staffed by Pam Friedman as managing director and principal.
Friedman, who specialises in divorce planning, adds assets of more than $60m to the firm.
With the addition of Friedman, Robertson Stephens’ financial planning expertise expands into the areas of marriage, divorce as well as other life events.
Friedman noted: “I believe that in Robertson Stephens, I have found the right partner to support my practice.
“We share the same values and passion for serving both men and women as fiduciaries especially through tough life situations like divorce and widowhood.”
Robertson Stephens also has branches in San Francisco, New York, Sun Valley, and Holmdel in addition to the new Austin branch.
The firm, with an employee headcount of 35, serves HNWIs and family offices.
Robertson Stephens CEO and CIO Stuart Katz said: “Pam’s financial planning expertise, particularly in marriage, divorce, and other complex life transitions, has allowed us to further specialise our wealth planning services.
Earlier this year, Robertson Stephens acquired Vine Street Wealth Management that offers investment management, wealth planning, and outsourced CFO solutions.
The takeover added around $150m in assets to the acquirer.
