Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based Turner Investments has concluded its merger deal with investment firm Veracen.
The deal will combine Turner’s 26-year active investing legacy with Veracen's proprietary operating platform and disciplined investment process.
Turner managing principal and founder Robert Turner said: "By bringing together the best of our companies and platforms, we are confident in our ability to renew Turner's industry leadership position with a range of compelling products that generate structured outcomes for our clients—all modestly priced."
Turner provides a range of actively-managed investment strategies to offer structured outcomes for institutional as well as individual investors.
The addition of capabilities following the integration of the two businesses will help Turner focus on creation of actively-managed portfolios that will offer lower volatility and stronger downside protection, Turner said.
Turner senior portfolio specialist Erik Hagar added: "We believe in the value of active investment management.
"The combination of our team's deep fundamental insights and the discipline of a multifactor-based model will allow us to develop and construct dynamic investment strategies that offer clients a highly-competitive fee structure."
