Wilmington Trust has expanded its corporate trust services in the southeastern US by setting up a new office in Birmingham, Alabama.
Six industry veterans have been hired to provide public finance and escrow agency services across the Southeast due to increasing demand for municipal bond market and escrow services.
The office forms part of the company’ global capital markets unit that offers services for institutional and corporate clients including acting as trustee, registrar, and paying agent on various municipal and corporate bond transactions.
The Birmingham office will house Cynthia Duke, Ann Harris-Johnson, Caroline Oakes, Kara Lee Partin in the public finance team, along with Donald Evans and Jean Dobbins in the escrow agency team.
Duke, Harris-Johnson, Oakes, and Partin will manage corporate trust client relationships across the Southeast. Evans will manage the escrow services department in the Birmingham office, while Dobbins will manage escrow account clients throughout the Southeast.
The team will report to Wilmington Trust administrative vice president of public finance and agency group Robert Brown.
"We’re very pleased to bring this established team of industry veterans to Wilmington Trust. This team represents decades of experience in the corporate trust and escrow space. The Birmingham team enjoys a strong reputation in the region, which benefits our Southeast expansion and complements our national public finance practice," Brown said.
