Alliance Bank has integrated Zelle payments application into its mobile banking app to allow users to make person-to-person (P2P) money transfers digitally.
The community bank’s customers in the US can now send and receive money with Zelle for free using only a mobile phone number or an email address.
Fund transfers can be done within minutes if both parties are enrolled with Zelle. The interface acts as a digital payment alternative for cash and checks.
Customers can also use the app to transfer funds from one bank account to another.
Customers who receive a payment but are not enrolled with Zelle can enrol through their bank or financial institution or through the Zelle app to receive the payment.
Same applies to the ones who request for payments via a mobile banking app or payment wallet.
Alliance Bank CEO Philip Reim said: “By integrating Zelle into our mobile banking app, customers don’t need to remember a separate username and password to send and receive money, and they have the security of using Alliance Bank’s Mobile Banking app to manage their P2P payments.”
Alliance Bank, which has over $630m in assets, provides commercial, agricultural, private and personal banking services across Minnesota, US.
