Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has entered into a new extended contractual agreement with cash technology solutions provider Glory to utilise Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) solutions and services for an additional five year period.
As a part of its branch renewal programme, ANZ has implemented Glory’s TCR technology in more than its 200 branches since 2011.
Besides supporting in-branch cash processes, the new technology was also utilised by ANZ to implement an open plan branch design and revise its counter layout to become more service-oriented business.
Glory Australia managing director Ian Wheeler said: “We are delighted to be partnering with ANZ for a further five years and to support their evolving branch footprint.
“Cash continues to be an important payment method in Australia and optimising cash processes in a secure manner remains a key element of ANZ’s Digital Branch Strategy.
“As a global leader in cash technology solutions we are ideally placed to bring our global experience to the ANZ team to help them achieve their objectives.
ANZ ATMs head Jodie LeeTet said: “This is an important partnership for us as TCR technology has become an integral part of our branch operations and design.
“In a busy branch environment, we rely on Glory to deliver high levels of availability and we are pleased to have extended our agreement with the confidence that Glory will continue to deliver the service, support and product performance we need in the future.”
To date, Glory has provided TCRs to more than 40 Australian financial institutions deploying nearly 2000 TCRs across 1000 branches.
