Bank of Montreal, operating as BMO Financial Group, has planned to open a new office in Toronto in a bid to offer a better customer experience as well as to strengthen collaboration with its units.
The new office will be located at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre which will be transformed into 350,000ft2 ‘BMO Campus’ featuring a dual four-storey atrium.
The bank has collaborated with Cadillac Fairview to develop the new campus.
BMO Financial Group CEO Darryl White said: “This urban campus is central to the business transformation that’s underway at BMO. We’re unified in our focus on the customer and now we’re accelerating, moving ahead ready to capitalise on every advantage: our wealth of customer insights, the right investment in technology and the discipline to keep things simple.”
The new location of the bank is expected to facilitate customer solutions delivery to market, help in hiring new talent, as well as fulfil the changing demands of an increasingly mobile workforce.
White added: “We’re working differently and share a belief at the bank that the future starts right now. Through agile innovation and strategic partnerships, we’re constantly switching on new capabilities and taking innovations to scale.
“This project is another example of how BMO is embracing cutting-edge workplace design to do that more.”
BMO will continue to maintain its Toronto headquarters at First Canadian Place where it has extended the lease for an additional 15-year period.
