Mashreq has rolled out interactive Microsoft technology to its new E-Cube branches in the United Arab Emirates .
In the five branches the customers will have the chance to interact with large digital walls that showcase "lifestyle scenarios", like buying a house. Microsoft Kinnect sensors allow customers to interact with the scenarios simply through hand gestures.
David Horton, chief transformation officer at Mashreq commented on the expansion. He said: "Our customers live a digital lifestyle every day in how they work and live; now at our branches, they can expect the same enriched experiences they have with technology with this modernised bank."
Customers will also be able to download information and application forms via QR codes to their mobile in the branches, and discuss options with bank employees in the individual kiosks using Microsoft Pixel Sense.
In addition, outside office hours the kiosks will offer access to services and enable customers to call centre staff over video.
