Poland’s PKO Bank Polski is reportedly planning to open new branches in Germany, France, the UK and Czech Republic during the next two years to expand its presence internationally.
The Financial Times quoted PKO president Zbigniew Jagiello saying: "It is natural to support Polish expansion abroad. We should go hand in hand with our clients."
Jagiello added that the bank is planning to open its first overseas branch in Frankfurt by the end of 2015.
"After this, of course we can think about executing support for Polish companies that are far from Poland — like in Africa, Asia, South America," Jagiello said.
"The new generation, they are different. They are Europeans. They have no borders in their minds," added Jagiello.
