Dutch lender Rabobank has teamed up with Norwegian technology provider Signicat to launch a digital identity service for businesses.
The new Digital Identity Service Provider (DISP) will offer online login, identity, signature and archiving solutions under the Rabo eBusiness banner.
Rabo eBusiness services will support onboarding new customers, signing contracts digitally and offering a dashboard for invoices or expense claims.
The service will be initially aimed at financial services providers, energy, telecom and insurance companies, as well as healthcare institutions.
The platform has been designed to incorporate new market demands and additional services, Rabobank said.
Signicat said that its partnership with Rabobank was an effort to expand presence in the Dutch market.
Signicat CEO Gunnar Nordseth said: “We have been operating for some time as an identity service provider in the Nordics and are currently expanding into other parts of Europe.
“The Netherlands is a strategically important market for us and a European hub that has great potential for digital identity, signature and archiving services. Collaborating with an innovative bank such as Rabobank gives us the opportunity to fulfil our ambition.”
