Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has inked a multi-year deal with information technology (IT) solutions provider Mphasis for speedy product development in its lending domain.
As part of the deal, RBS will leverage Mphasis’ Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) to support its business alignment objectives.
The partners will work together to transform testing services through the TCoE, which will allow them to jointly roll out speed-to-market lending solutions.
Mphasis will use its transformation capabilities such as “accelerated micro-services development, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and DevOps integration”.
The aim is to offer User Interface (UI) enhancements along with automation-led efficiency gains.
TCoE’s capabilities will enable Mphasis to drive test management – strategise and plan according to the production models.
TCoE will also help in adopting new tools and processes required for defining metrics and meeting compliance.
Mphasis president Dinesh Venugopal said: “As a partner to RBS, we remain committed to the success of this transformational initiative through our unique TCoE offering, with a view to wider next-gen modernisation as the next logical phase in the longer term.”
RBS Lending Program Director Trish Arksey said: “We found Mphasis to be an agile, flexible technology partner well equipped to drive and implement next-gen practices at RBS.
“Their digital capabilities coupled with an impeccable global track record for consistent service delivery, makes it a perfect partner for our transformation agenda.”
