Yes Bank, India’s fourth-largest private bank by assets, has selected Microsoft SharePoint 2010 to automate processes, reduce turnaround time for its customers, improve efficiency and make real-time business intelligence available for its employees.
According to Microsoft, deploying SharePoint will reduce turnaround time by 40% and increase decision making speeds by 70%.
Microsoft said SharePoint will also enable the creation of individual discussion forums and blogs which will allow new employees to easily share information and gain a better understanding of the functioning of the bank.
Dashboards which aggregate content from several sources will also help Yes Bank analyse the latest information to identify key opportunities and trends.
Amit Sethi, CIO, YES Bank, said SharePoint would help improve customer service and efficiency.
He added: "The experience of running SharePoint 2010 on multiple form factors has been quite remarkable.
"SharePoint is the new way to work together and provides a simplified user experience for our employees, helping them to organise, sync and share content."
Ramkumar Pichai, general manager, Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India, said: "The new generation of social computing tools like SharePoint are becoming as indispensable to daily business operations as email.
"SharePoint enables better collaboration and accelerates business, which in turn produces more valuable employees and strengthens customer relationships."
