A recently granted patent (Publication Number: US11887090B2) discloses a self-payment system that includes a product registration terminal, a payment terminal, and a management apparatus. The payment terminal features a money-insertion acceptor and a money-ejection acceptor, with the management apparatus equipped with a processor that determines the amount of cash within the payment terminal. Based on this amount, the processor restricts money-insertion or money-ejection acceptance accordingly. Additionally, a management counter tracks the transaction process from product registration to payment, and when a certain threshold is reached, the processor limits the number of payment terminals accepting money ejection.

Furthermore, the system includes provisions for restricting money-ejection acceptance when the cash amount falls below a specific threshold and for limiting money-insertion acceptance when the cash amount exceeds another threshold. The processor also considers the operation time of the payment terminal, restricting money-ejection acceptance outside of designated operational hours. Additionally, the payment terminal is equipped with a display or light to inform users when money-ejection acceptance is restricted. The processor also monitors the amount of bills and coins within the payment terminal, restricting bill or coin ejection acceptance when the amounts fall below specified thresholds.
