Salesforce has extended its partnership with Google to include deeper integration of Gemini AI models with its Agentforce 360 platform.
The extended collaboration will see the introduction of Gemini’s multimodal intelligence to the Salesforce ecosystem, supporting tasks such as hybrid reasoning and multistep process automation across enterprise sales and IT services.

The expanded integration allows the Atlas Reasoning Engine, which is central to Agentforce 360, to leverage Gemini models, thereby offering additional model selection for enterprise workflows, stated Salesforce.
In addition, the hybrid reasoning capability allows users to deploy AI agents within Salesforce that generate consistent and accurate outputs.
The collaboration also extends the reach of Salesforce Gemini integration, previously limited to Gmail, to other Google Workspace applications such as Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides, and Meet.
Agentforce 360 now supports native interoperability with Google Workspace, allowing users to initiate sales engagements, qualify leads, and schedule meetings from within applications like Gmail and Google Calendar.

Salesforce chief scientist Silvio Savarese said: “In the enterprise environment, it’s imperative for AI agents to be highly capable and highly consistent, especially for critical use cases.
“Together, we are setting a new standard for building the future of what’s possible in the Agentic Enterprise down to the model level.”
Agentforce IT Service, which recently debuted, provides built-in integrations for automating routine IT tasks, including provisioning access to Google Workspace, managing device security for ChromeOS, and analysing operational data via Looker.
The new features are designed to align with common enterprise use cases and support IT service delivery speed and reliability.
The partnership also brings Gemini Enterprise into Slack through integration with Slack’s Real-Time Search API.
This allows Gemini Enterprise models to reference Slack’s current conversational data and files, supporting in-context insights and summaries directly within Slack.
Salesforce and Google affirmed their support for open standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A), enabling cross-platform and multi-agent orchestration.
Further technical developments include joint efforts on contact centre solutions spanning Google telephony and Service Cloud desktop, as well as enhanced data federation between Salesforce Data 360 and Google BigQuery.
Google Workspace Platform and Growth product management vice president George Kwon said: “The deeper integration of Google Workspace with Gemini and Salesforce has the power to fundamentally improve how teams get work done.
“This integration unifies critical business information with powerful AI assistance, helping teams across sales, customer service, and IT make smarter decisions and streamline their work with critical information, all from the tools they use every day.”
The companies have previously worked together to integrate their platforms for enterprise productivity.
With Agentforce 360, Salesforce and Google are expanding this approach, focusing on interoperability between AI-driven applications and established productivity tools.
Recently, Google announced plans to invest approximately $15bn in establishing an AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The investment will be allocated over five years, from 2026 to 2030 inclusive.
