The increase in valuation more than doubles the company’s worth since 2024.
The company reported that the capital will be used to support growth and product development as organisations look to adopt AI-driven technology and update workflows.
Island positions its platform as a critical element for enterprises seeking enhanced oversight and management in the context of AI integration.
Among the firms participating in the funding round are Sequoia Capital, Prysm Capital, Coatue Management, Insight Partners, Cyberstarts, Georgian, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, G Squared, Alta Park Capital, and Squarepoint.
In addition, cybersecurity entrepreneur Dmitri Alperovitch contributed a personal investment.
The company employs 1,000 staff and claims to have doubled annual recurring revenue each fiscal year since its launch in 2022.
Island attributes its growth to demand for secure, simplified enterprise solutions as businesses increasingly implement AI and cloud-based technologies.
The company’s technology originated with its Enterprise Browser, embedding controls for security and productivity within standard work environments.
The offering has since expanded to include consumer browsers, applications, endpoints, and modern security architectures.
According to Island, its platform gives a unified policy and audit capability over a range of work activities and supports the governance of both human and AI “agents” within enterprises.
Island CEO and co-founder Mike Fey said: “We’ve entered a new era in which people and AI agents work side by side. Just like humans, agents need the right context, access, guardrails, and accountability to succeed.
“Island created the first Enterprise Browser to protect the primary place people work. From there, we expanded into data protection and DLP, then built a next-generation SASE architecture from the endpoint outward.
“Those combined capabilities give chief information officers (CIOs), chief information security officers (CISOs), and business unit owners one security, productivity, and governance framework for everywhere human and agentic work occurs. This investment gives us even more capacity to innovate with our customers and help them safely scale AI.”
