Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria, is one of the world’s fastest growing cities. A major financial centre, the mega city has the highest GDP of any African city and also houses one of the largest and busiest ports on the continent

Lagos has a strong financial services sector and attracts substantial amounts of foreign investmen, providing the headquarters for many Fortune 500 companies.

Lagos is widely known to be a magnet for foreigners looking to establish business in Nigeria and its business centres and luxury hotels. Meanwhile Victoria Island is home to a number of the Nigerian tycoons.

The city does however have relatively high housing and business occupancy costs.
